Marshall Ellenstein was interested in magic and got my Dad's name from someone. My father became his magic instructor, and to this day Marshall will say, "Art taught me this trick."

Marshall's parents, Ruth and Bill, were lifelong friends of my folks. Marshall recalled that his father often would give my Dad a new shirt or pants from his clothing store for teaching his son magic. He has kept up the relationship and regularly checks on my mother and even visits with us. Of course, he is required to do a few card tricks, but he gladly obliges!

He's seen here with my mother to celebrate her 84th birthday. I also dug up some old Super 8 movies of Marshall at the "round table" in our kitchen.
